Today, as I played the chord changes for them in between each repetition, the kids started adding "Oh" on the tonic, and "My!" on the modulation with a hand on each cheek for the word. It ended up spreading through the 3rd and 4th graders who started it to the whole choir!
Mommy Made Me Munch My MnM's. Oh My!!!
This evening, while I was singing with my Community Choir (one of the things I look forward to all week!), and we were doing our warm ups, I started thinking about the body movements and silly things we do during warm ups to get our voices where they should be.
Bouncing imaginary balls, and wiggling our hips are just a few things my C.C. does to get the body engaged.
What fun things do your choirs do during warm ups?
