Now that it has been almost a year, I still think I'm excited that someone likes what I've made over the money. Not saying that it isn't nice, but it isn't my primary focus. (I feel this is where I should mention that my very first job, before direct deposit, my boss had to remind me to take home checks. I'd have 3 or more bi-weekly checks backed up. Finally, he would just make sure that the shift manager knew to give it to me before I left.)
So here are my dreams with the money I make on TpT.
3. Pay student loans
I think this is the goal of EVERY seller that doesn't have their loans paid off. It would be nice to get this number dropped!
2. Kodály levels.
I don't need a masters degree right now. It wouldn't benefit me to get one. But I do need to renew my teaching certificate in the next year or so. I'm starting my Kodály levels this summer (where I got my BME and my BS - Fire Up Chips!!), because I love the sequencing of Kodály, and I love that my teaching has been better since I started using the Kodály method. I love that I have student directed learning as they work on the concepts. The benefit of being able to use it to help my certificate be renewed is even better!
1. Allow me to stay at my current teaching position
I teach part time in private schools. And I LOVE my job. I get to teach everything I ever wanted. If I had kids tomorrow though, I might have to chose between my job and their daycare. If I am honest about what I want to do with money I make from TpT, it would be to give my (currently non-existent) kids a better life. If I could stay working part time (something I would love to do - still teaching, but able to be with my kids), and be able to afford their daycare for when I would need it, that is pretty much all I'd want.
